Olive mills, villages and ancient Roman roads

From Fano to Mombaroccio

An itinerary combining history, traditions and flavours in the heart of the province of Pesaro and Urbino. From Roman Fano, with its ancient monuments and the charm of the Via Flaminia, the journey continues to Cartoceto, land of PDO extra virgin olive oil, where food culture becomes a first-hand experience through tastings and meetings with producers. The second day crosses the harmonious landscapes of Colli al Metauro, among hills, vineyards and rural villages, ending in Mombaroccio, one of the most evocative historic centres of the hinterland, home to important religious heritage and to the memory of rural life in the Marche. An ideal route for those who want to experience the most authentic Marche, among culture, food and wine, and local traditions.
